The lower entry price needs context
CoinTracking lists its one-year Starter plan at $49 with a 200-transaction allowance. Coinpanda lists Hodler at $79 per year with 100 transactions. Those are published entry prices, not a calculation of your total cost. A missing import feature or a larger history can change which tier you need, so compare the plan you can actually use rather than the cheapest number on each page.
Automation can change the decision
CoinTracking’s pricing table shows Auto-Sync as unavailable on Starter. That matters if you expect ongoing automatic updates: a low-cost plan may require a different workflow from the one you had in mind. Coinpanda lists unlimited integrations, but you still need to confirm the import method for each of your accounts. An integration directory is a starting point, not proof that every transaction type is handled.
Separate the allowance from report-year access
Coinpanda says its allowance counts transactions from the previous calendar year and describes access to reports for all years. CoinTracking offers several billing durations, including lifetime options. These are different dimensions: billing duration, transaction limits and available report years should each be checked. Do not assume that buying a longer plan removes every usage limit.
Choose around your records
For a small history, establish whether the entry plan supports every required import and report. For DeFi or NFT activity, use a representative protocol and inspect how its transactions appear before committing. Keep your original exports so that unexplained entries can be traced back to their source. This comparison covers documented features and plan terms; it does not measure calculation accuracy or certify either product for a particular jurisdiction.
